MEISINGER MUSIC FESTIVAL – THE ART OF ASTOR PIAZZOLLA
Willa Lentza
[RECHEDULED from 2022-07-31] 20-08-2022, Saturday, at 7:00 pm - Ticketed event
On Saturday (August 20, 7.00 p.m.), the audience will be delighted with the rhythms of the tango – probably the most captivating and sensual dance in the world.
The ensemble of evening performers includes a singing actress, Aneta Todorczuk, guitarist Krzysztof Meisinger, double bass player Michał Sobuś, and the Royal String Quartet, which has cooperated and been promoted by the BBC for many years. The RSQ are Izabella Szałaj-Zimak (1st violin), Elwira Przybyłowska (2nd violin), Paweł Czarny (viola) and Michał Pepol (cello).
The program of the musical meeting will consist of pieces by Astor Piazzolla. The famous composer and bandoneon virtuoso was hailed as a tango master and creator of the "tango nuevo" style. In his compositions, the artist combined the character of traditional Argentinean dance with elements of baroque musical forms, the influence of jazz and the turbulent emotions of New York's poverty districts (where he lived for some time).
The compositions presented in the villa will include the following masterpieces "Milonga is coming", "Melancólico Buenos Aires", "Balada Para Mi Muerte", "Tango Suite", "Vuelvo al Sur", "Adiós Nonino", "Verano Porteño", "Milonga per tre", "Preludio para el Año 3001" and "Tango Ballet".
The concert is a part of the MEISINGER MUSIC FESTIVAL – SZCZECIN 2022.
