We are pleased to announce another performance at the Lentz Villa, by two artists who ostensibly represent two different worlds. On Saturday 3rd June 2023, we present WARP TRAVELERS, a project of the brilliant jazz musician, Poland’s most recognizable vibraphonist Bernard Maseli (who is also an arranger, music producer, and academic teacher) and DJ Eprom, a leading Polish DJ, rapper, and producer, winner of five Fryderyk Awards.
Their project is, we hear, ‘a space voyage exploring electronic, acoustic, jazz, and hip-hop sound, entering our ears at a pace that leaves the speed of light far behind. This non-commercial air company’s original improvised flight guarantees unique space for the audience.’
We hope you will join us for this crazy musical voyage and come to the Villa to meet our unconventional Artists.
Bernard Maseli began his career on the Polish jazz scene with Walk Away at the 1985 Jazz on the Odra festival, where he won the soloist Grand Prix and his band – the first prize in its category. He performs with the greatest stars such as Kuba Badach, Dean Brown, Urszula Dudziak, Anna Maria Jopek, and Mike Stern. He took part in a joint concert tour with the legendary trumpeter Miles Davis. For more than two dozen years he has been ranked first in the vibraphone category of Jazz Forum monthly’s Jazz Top survey.
