Charlie Chaplin in the Lentz Villa’s Garden
A sculpture of Charlie Chaplin, created by Jerzy Kędziora, will be unveiled in the Lentz Villa’s garden on Saturday, 29th July 2023 at 6 p.m.
The event is part of our cycle titled ‘Icons of Culture’. This unusual sculpture, balancing above our visitors’ heads, will be installed by Art & Balance Foundation. The work, loosely supported at just one or two points, maintains balance in defiance of the laws of gravity.
The energising spectacle featuring Chaplin moving between earth and the sky commemorates the year 1889, when the Lentz Villa was being built and when that eminent British silent and sound film actor-director was born.
Art & Balance Foundation has previously presented much-admired installations in Dubai, Abu Dabi, Berlin, and Lourdes.
Charlie Chaplin’s balancing sculpture will add splendour to our villa’s garden till 30th September 2023.
Come and see it! Entry to the garden is free of charge.
