Masterpieces of piano music will fill the historical interiors of the Lentz Villa during a unique concert held on 20th September 2023 at 8 p.m. in this Szczecin residence. The beauty of the music will be enhanced by the excellent technique and intriguing interpretations of the excellent Japanese pianist Ingrid Fuzjko Hemming (b. 1932).
Hailed as a child prodigy, she first learned the secrets of piano playing from her mother, highly regarded piano teacher Toako Ohtsuki. She graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and the Berlin State Academy for Church and School Music. She has appeared in numerous prestigious venues worldwide, including New York’s famous Carnegie Hall. She is the winner of globally recognised accolades such as a prize at the NHK Mainichi Music Competition and the Bunka Radio Broadcasting Company Award.
The vast discography of this artist from the Land of Cherry Blossoms includes titles released under the Domo Records label (Echoes of Eternity, La Campanella, Nocturnes of Melancholy, Live at Carnegie Hall), which won the Japan Gold Disc Awards as Classical Albums of the Year.
