In the cycle dedicated to dance forms and musical styles (in which our guests have already had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with such forms as the tango, the waltz, and the polonaise, among others), on 28th October 2023 the Lentz Villa in Szczecin presents a programme dedicated to SWING, a style of partner dance accompanied by jazz music that enjoyed great popularity from the 1910s onwards.
The attraction-filled programme includes experts’ debate on swing as a dance and musical form, a concert by Marc Secara, who promotes jazz and US swing music with his Big Band, a performance by Swing Lovers band, dance presentations, and a screening of Woody Allen’s movie Café Society, featuring such stars as the Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominated Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) and Steve Carell (Foxcatcher), César-nominated Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga), as well as an opportunity to taste dishes typical of the United States.
