A 1960s-Style Artistic Luncheon on the Grass: Dedicated to Jacek Nieżychowski
Willa Lentza
08-06-2024, Saturday, at 11:00 am - Ticketed event
The next open-air event at the Lentz Villa is part of the birth centenary celebrations of Jacek Nieżychowski, actor and operetta singer, co-founder of Szczecin’s Operetta and our city’s Young Talents Festival, a person who greatly contributed to the city’s and our country’s culture. Since we wish to recreate the atmosphere of the 1960s, we hope you will appear sporting some delightful fashion items from that period. The most attractive outfits will be rewarded.
Starting at 11 a.m. on 8th June, our Luncheon on the Grass will continue till 3 p.m. Its final programme and content primarily depend on the participants’ preferences. Highlights include a string quartet performance (music from the time of August Lentz), a concert of popular operetta arias sung by Lucyna Boguszewska and of 1960s pop music performed by Aleksandra Radwan and Maciej Starnawski. There will also be an opportunity to visit the Lentz Villa’s historical interiors with a guide and meet Jacek Nieżychowski’s family members, who will share their memories of the artist. The rich array of spicy and sweet cuisine will include, among others, Nieżychowski’s favourite dishes. A film about Jacek Nieżychowski will be screened free of charge.
Our master of ceremonies, Szczecin theatre actor Konrad Pawicki, will (already traditionally) personate August Lentz, the original owner of the Villa, and will take care of the proper atmosphere during our little ceremony.
We warmly invite you to join us for this event.
