We warmly invite you to our next concert in the AD ASTRA series, to be given on 25th August 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Lentz Villa by ATEMPO Trio. Its members (Alon Stern – bass, Itay Abramowicz – piano, Yoav Lachovitzky – drums) used the difficult COVID-19 pandemic years to record in the studio.
The trio’s music combines influences and styles characteristic of the members’ respective countries of origin, including Arab, Balkan, and Mediterranean rhythms and scales as well as African and Afro-Caribbean elements.
Yoav’s latest album, recently recorded in Amsterdam, proves once again that beyond being a brilliant drummer, he is also a talented composer.
Itay has made a name for himself as an excellent accompanist performing throughout the world with such esteemed artists as, among others, Yasmine Levy, Pablo Rosenberg, and David Broza.
Alon brings to the trio the glue and groove that characterise the band’s playing.
