(Fairy-Tale) Luncheon on the Grass in August Lentz’s Garden.
26-08-2023, Saturday, at 11:00 am - Ticketed event
You are welcome to join us for our next luncheon on the grass.
The luncheon starts at 11 a.m. and will last until 4 p.m. Its final shape and programme will primarily be determined by the participants themselves. Those present can expect numerous attractions, including a string quartet performance, the unveiling of the restored stained-glass window of a Siren Combing Her Hair from the Strutz Villa (with Michał Dębowski’s commentary on this work of art’s history and iconography and a discussion of the work’s conservation by Robert Rodecki, a well-known Szczecin-based stained-glass window-maker who designed and conducted the restoration process), presentation of Halina Różanek’s collection dedicated to Hans Christian Andersen and Bogusława Sochańska’s lecture on Andersen, joint dancing, as well as the possibility of taking part in a guided tour of the Lentz Villa.
Tickets need to be purchased for events held between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. (available soon from: bilety.willa-lentza.pl). The unveiling of the restored stained-glass window (at 2 p.m.) as well as the lectures (in the theatre hall) can be attended free of charge.
Details of the programme will be announced soon.
We again look forward to admiring our guests’ attractive costumes. Best outfits will be awarded. The leitmotif of this luncheon is 19th-century fashion.
Coffee, tea, biscuits, and soup will be served during the luncheon. Other drinks, ice cream, and cake will be available for purchase. We also encourage you to look round our villa’s interiors on this occasion, and visit both our permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Our master of ceremonies, Szczecin theatre actor Konrad Pawicki, will continue the tradition by impersonating the residence’s owner August Lentz and making sure that the atmosphere during the luncheon is pleasant and relaxed.
We warmly invite you to attend this event. Tickets will be available soon from bilety.willa-lentza.pl.
Event partner: Consulate General of the Kingdom of Denmark
The stained-glass window representing a Siren Combing Her Hair will remain temporarily on display at the Lentz Villa, in order to return to the Strutz Villa after its renovation has ended.
