On Thursday, 15th February 2024, at 6.30 p.m., we host at the Lentz Villa the singer Martyna Jakubowicz, known, among others, for her cult song ‘No free love in houses of concrete’. The meeting is dedicated to a less known passion of this star vocalist faithful to her hippie roots – namely, to the art of writing.
Daughter of writer Tadeusz Żychiewicz, who is best remembered as a charismatic journalist from the Tygodnik Powszechny weekly, Jakubowicz now follows in her father’s footsteps. Her book The Difficult Art of Flying ‘paints dramatic but tender portraits of her parents, their difficult love and psychomachia. It is a profound, moving and painfully sincere depiction of the life of the Polish intelligentsia and its entanglement in history.’
This event is held as part of the Lentz Villa’s WE LOVE BOOKS cycle. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
Thursday, 15th February 2024, 6.30 p.m.
Entry to the meeting is free of charge.
