This year's Szczecin Film Festival 21 Opening Ceremony will take place at the Lentz Villa! It will be graced by the film's screening entitled "Kill It and Leave This Town".

The director of the picture, Mariusz Wilczyński, will be the honorary guest of the meeting. He worked on this extraordinary animation for 14 years. It is a chronicle of childhood in the People's Republic of Poland and youth during the transformation period. The film, which had its premiere at the Berlinale, won the Golden Lions for Best Film at the 45 Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and Wielki Jantar for a full-length feature debut at the 40 Koszalin Festival of Film Debuts "Młodzi i film". The characters of "Kill It and Leave This Town" were voiced by Polish cinematography stars, including: Andrzej Wajda, Gustaw Holoubek, Krystyna Janda, Anna Dymna, Marek Kondrat and Daniel Olbrychski.
