Historical Regatta at the Lentz Villa

In August, the Villa Lentz will present the madrigal comedy "La Barca da Venezia per Padova" by Adriano Banchieri (1568-1634).
Together with the performers – the Szczecin Vocal Project & Consortium Sedinum, led by Paweł Osuchowski, we will embark on a trip to the Venetian Laguna, canals and rivers which will take us from Venice to Padua, where our heroes will devote themselves to providing a variety of entertainment by the light of the sun and moon. The major goal will be to entertain using laughter, song and dance. Boat passengers, representing Italian society of the early 17th century, will perform many beautiful pieces, including contemporary popular madrigals and canzonettas which were popular at that time.
