The exhibition Byłem, jestem [I Was, I Am], dedicated to poet and prose writer Rafał Wojaczek, one of the greatest legends in Polish 20th-century art, presents, among others, his manuscripts, dedications, correspondence, volumes of poetry bearing his autograph, as well as photographs that he took himself.

The exhibition opened with a vernissage held on 15th April 2023 in the form of a meeting from the cycle ICONS OF CULTURE: RAFAŁ WOJACZEK. The event, which promoted the album Rafał Wojaczek. I Was, I Am, featured authors of texts published in that volume: Dariusz Pawelec, PhD, Habil. – Professor of the University of Silesia, Konrad Wojtyła, PhD – the book’s editor, and Maciej Melecki – head of the Rafał Wojaczek Mikołów Institute. The exhibition can be visited between 19th and 22nd April 2023 on the occasion of a tour of the Lentz Villa or during our events this week.
