The ceremonial funeral of Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki took place on March 29, 2022, on the second anniversary of his death. His ashes were placed in the National Pantheon in the crypt under the presbytery of St. Peter and Paul in Krakow.

The Lentz Villa – in tribute to the composer – has published a book by Rafał Jesswein in a small, bibliophilic edition entitled "Krzysztof Penderecki's Szczecin Requiem | In Memoriam".

The album recalls "... A unique, unprecedented concert which took place in the K-1 hall of the Szczecin Shipyard on the occasion of the 35th anniversary (...) of December '70 in Szczecin on December 10, 2005. Maestro personally conducted the performance of the 'Polish Requiem'.
