SWEET BREAKFAST IN AUGUST LENTZ'S GARDEN

The idea of organising breakfast in August Lentz's garden appealed to the participants of the Saturday meeting. The audience did not disappoint, and neither did the weather.
Breakfast on the grass began at 11:00, and the garden discussions were accompanied, among others, by music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Lehar, Pietro Mascagni, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss. The musical pearls sounded beautifully in the interpretation of two trios: Misza Tsebriy (violin), Anna Zhavoronkova (viola) and Katarzyna Kupny (cello) as well as Katarzyna Krajka (flute), Damian Krajka (viola) and Maja Nizińska (cello).

The atmosphere of similar meetings organised by the family of the first owner of the residence, August Lentz, was recalled by Konrad Pawicki, who hosted the event, as well as numerous guests of the event dressed in period costumes, including members of the "Metrum" historical reconstruction association from Szczecin, strolling with distinction through the garden and the interiors of the residence.

Artistically gifted persons were encouraged to paint on silk by Ms Dorota Kowalczyk from Silk Station. Mr Tomasz Wieczorek – a licensed tour and tourist guide – presented history lovers with many interesting facts about the Lentz Villa and the city. He also regularly guided visitors around the premises of the institution. Finally, the journalist, Rafał Jesswein, talked about the unique concert on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of December '70 in Szczecin, which took place on December 10, 2005, in the K-1 hall of the Szczecin Shipyard, in which Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki personally conducted the performance of 'Polish Requiem'. He also talked about the book the Lentz Villa published in tribute to this historic event.

Timm Stütz, a respected artist-photographer whose photos can now be seen at the villa exhibition, HUMAN | SPACE, also came to the breakfast. The artist talked about his exhibition and invited the participants to its closing.

During breakfast, a beautiful edifice stood open to its guests, who, after tasting sweet treats, could gladly visit the palace and see the exhibits gathered there, as well as permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Thank you very much for your participation and great atmosphere. We invite you to future events at the Lentz Villa!
