ANNOUNCE
THE 3rd INTERNATIONAL COMPOSERS’ COMPETITION
SAXandVILLAS-2024
The Competition’s aim is to expand chamber music repertoires. The subject of the Competition is a new work composed for one of the following three lineups, to be chosen by the Composer Participant:
1. a trio consisting of two saxophones (chosen from among soprano, alto, tenor, or baritone), and piano
2. a duo of saxophone (chosen from among soprano, alto, tenor, or baritone) and piano
3. a chamber saxophone orchestra consisting of 8 to 12 instruments (e.g. Snino or S, SSAAATTTBBBs)
All submitted works will be evaluated in only one category without division into individual instrumental lineups.
The awarded compositions will receive their world première performances in chosen Partner – Cities, and the winners will be presented with commemorative statuettes.
The first prize winner composer will be invited for the World Premiere, which will take place in the chosen Partner – City.
There is also a money prize: 1500 Euros for the 1st-prize winner, and 500 Euros for the 2nd prize winner.
