Paris Hilton and the Kardashians are working hard for that name. But the icons of culture have remained unchanged for decades.

Dance has already made its way into the Lentz Villa. Last year, tango lovers came to the seat of the youngest cultural institution in Szczecin. Last Saturday (May 29, 2022), we hosted crowds of waltz enthusiasts.

We have the honour to announce that the 2 nd prize in the International Composers’ Competition SAXandVILLAS 2022 has been awarded to Gianluca Cremona.

It was crowded on Saturday, May 14, at the Lentz Villa. At 18:00, there was a performance by an excellent ensemble from Denmark – Rudersdal Kammersolister, who delighted the audience with a beautiful interpretation of the works of Scandinavian composers: Amanda Röntgen-Maier – Swedish violinist and composer, Edvard Grieg, an excellent Norwegian composer, pianist and conductor, as well as the Danish creator Carl Nielsen other six symphonies and two operas.

After a two-year break caused by a pandemic, the Night of Museums returns. Already on Saturday evening – and at night, of course – instead of sitting comfortably in front of the TV or going to sleep, you can visit, see, and experience. Many cultural institutions, including the Lentz Villa, have prepared a lot of attractions.

Time for walks and getting to know the charms of Szczecin. We propose to use these moments to admire the shimmering tulips in the Villa's garden and to participate in many exciting events organised as part of the 14th Westival of Architecture (May 11-15), Scandinavian Days – a concert by the excellent Danish band Rudersdal Kammersolister (May 14, 18:00) and the Night of the Museums (May 14, 20:00 – 24:00).

- Please, do not ask me if I am going away for the May holidays and if I have a city break planned to Italy or Spain. Well, I'm going to take a city break without going anywhere. I'm staying in Szczecin! – said my friend at the cafe entrance, with whom I arranged for a chat over coffee.

The International Composers’ Competition SAXandVILLAS was announced by the Lentz Villa in Szczecin, Poland, in cooperation with Villa Marigola in Lerici, Italy. The Competition has been dedicated to the memory of Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) and Karol Szymanowski (1882-1937).

This piano recital will remain in the memory of music lovers for a long time. The protagonist of the evening was a pianist from the Philippines – Jim-Isaac Chua.
