After a two-year break caused by a pandemic, the Night of Museums returns. Already on Saturday evening – and at night, of course – instead of sitting comfortably in front of the TV or going to sleep, you can visit, see, and experience. Many cultural institutions, including the Lentz Villa, have prepared a lot of attractions.

Time for walks and getting to know the charms of Szczecin. We propose to use these moments to admire the shimmering tulips in the Villa's garden and to participate in many exciting events organised as part of the 14th Westival of Architecture (May 11-15), Scandinavian Days – a concert by the excellent Danish band Rudersdal Kammersolister (May 14, 18:00) and the Night of the Museums (May 14, 20:00 – 24:00).

- Please, do not ask me if I am going away for the May holidays and if I have a city break planned to Italy or Spain. Well, I'm going to take a city break without going anywhere. I'm staying in Szczecin! – said my friend at the cafe entrance, with whom I arranged for a chat over coffee.

The International Composers’ Competition SAXandVILLAS was announced by the Lentz Villa in Szczecin, Poland, in cooperation with Villa Marigola in Lerici, Italy. The Competition has been dedicated to the memory of Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) and Karol Szymanowski (1882-1937).

This piano recital will remain in the memory of music lovers for a long time. The protagonist of the evening was a pianist from the Philippines – Jim-Isaac Chua.

The last sounds of the phenomenal concert of the Paweł Kaczmarczyk Trio have faded, inaugurating the "Jazz in the Villa" series. We had the opportunity to hear pre-premiere material from the newly recorded yet unreleased album of the Krakow trio. Thank you for being with us!

In the garden of the Lentz Villa, a magnolia was planted, which was named Max to commemorate the outstanding architect of the building mentioned above – Max Drechsler. It is not the only natural and historical piece of news coming from this institution. Well, soon, more such trees will appear in the local garden, which will also remind us of influential figures related to the Lentz Villa and the cultural circles of Szczecin.

On Sunday, April 4, 2022, a concert took place at the Lentz Villa as part of the JUVENUM HORTUS series. The performers included young Ukrainian artists, winners of international competitions and festivals, who, together with professors Ludmila and Lev Zakopets, dedicated their performances to the inhabitants of Ukraine. During the concert, Poles who helped the Ukrainian nation were also thanked. The program included mainly works by Polish and Ukrainian composers.

The ceremonial funeral of Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki took place on March 29, 2022, on the second anniversary of his death. His ashes were placed in the National Pantheon in the crypt under the presbytery of St. Peter and Paul in Krakow.

Some concerts are especially remembered, sometimes for a lifetime. I am convinced that many music lovers will remember for a long time the recent show from the famous and excellent series "Great Concertmasters", which took place in the Lentz Villa in Szczecin. The evening with the performance of the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra and violin virtuoso – Melina Mandozzi showed how great the power of music is, which not only touches or gives joy but can also raise spirits.
